Production Area: Mariano del Friuli - DOC Isonzo del Friuli
Soil: dry and warm, of medium texture: composed of the stones of the river Isonzo and noble clays.
Grape harvest: manual
Vinification: rigorously hand-picked, soft destemming of the grapes and then prolonged maceration on the skins with repeated pumping over.
Ageing: after racking, it remains for twelve months in French barriques.
Bottling: without filtration
Colour: intense ruby red with violet reflections
Perfume: the nose offers a multitude of sensations, it releases scents of red fruits, currants, blueberries, blackberries, but also plums, cherries, tobacco and licorice.
Taste: on the palate it has a complex tannic structure, soft in the mouth, characterized by docile tannins. Characteristic flavor that reflects the terroir and the type of soil, from which it takes its name.
