Genepy is one of the best-known liqueurs produced by the Bordiga distillery. It is a traditional liqueur from the Western Alps, obtained by infusing the flowers of Artemisia Mutellina, which grows on the highest rocky slopes of the Maritime and Cottian Alps and is harvested here strictly by hand by mountain dwellers. Bordiga is a very special distillery, specializing in rigor and respect for tradition. Its strength lies in the Alpine medicinal herbs that are still harvested by hand and dried at high altitudes by mountain dwellers in an uncontaminated environment. This means that the botanicals used are wild. They are harvested without the use of engines, pesticides, fertilizers, fungicides, and above all, with enormous attention to product quality and respect for the environment. Each production, just like in the past, is totally influenced by the succession of seasons and climate variations. Once harvested, the herbs are meticulously checked by master distillers, who only deliver the best to processing.
