Tio Pepe is made from 100% Palomino grapes, a varietal that imparts delicacy and elegance and gives this sherry a unique character.
This is a decidedly dry white wine, aged for five years in American barrels using the Solera method.
Its color is pale gold, clear and bright.
The nose releases pungent aromas, almond notes and distinctive hints of yeast.
The palate is full-bodied and very dry, with a long, complex finish.
Ideal as an aperitif, it can be enjoyed with typical Spanish dishes such as tapas, olives, Pata Negra or cheeses. Its versatility also makes it perfect served with fish dishes, sushi and sashimi.
In Spain, "Rebujito," a refreshing drink made with Tio Pepe, lemonade, ice, and lemon, is very popular.
