The vast majority of distilleries produce a variety of white rums. Plantation wanted to offer its customers a white rum that could be easily distinguished from others by using both aged and unaged rums and by taking advantage of Maison Ferrand's exceptional talent for blending cognacs. Rum distilled one part pot still and one part column still in Barbados Aged for two years in the Caribbean and one year in France. Plantation 3 Stars is a selection of rums from three islands: Trinidad (rum aged two to three years), Barbados (unaged rum) and Jamaica (10-year-old rums distilled in pot still). Three different territories that express unique characteristics and personalities and combine to create a bouquet of great elegance and finesse. Rum from Barbados gives balance, rum from Trinidad elegance and rum from Jamaica intensity and power. Filtration is done according to Pierre Ferrand's methodology through which tannins are removed but all aromatic scents are retained.
