For more than a century, the Russolo family has been a leading player in the oenological history of the Eastern Veneto region. Although the Russolo winery was founded in 1974 by Iginio and Sonia, it was in 1990 that a significant turning point occurred with the purchase of the vineyards in San Quirino. In 2000, the construction of the new winery, located next to the vineyards, marked the final move to the “lean lands.”
Today, siblings Antonella and Rino run the winery, supported by their parents, and focus on producing fresh, mineral and fragrant wines. The San Quirino area, located in upper western Friuli, benefits from the proximity of the Friulian Dolomites and a microclimate characterized by a pronounced temperature range, thanks to the absence of hills acting as a barrier between the mountains and the plateau.
The abundant presence of pebbles in the soil gives Russolo wines a unique minerality, an expression of “terroir.” This translates into high quality white and red wines, with particular emphasis on Pinot Noir, which confirms Russolo as one of the best interpreters of the area.
Discover Russolo's wines and be won over by the freshness and complexity that characterize each bottle. Visit our winery in San Quirino and immerse yourself in the authenticity of our area, where tradition and innovation come together to create unique experiences.
