Caparsa
Radda in Chianti (SI)
Purchased in 1965 by Reginaldo Cianferoni, a professor at the University of Florence, but in fact reinvented by his son Paolo with Gianna, his life partner, Caparsa is today one of the most interesting realities on the Chianti Classico scene in Radda. Paolo is perhaps one of the last 'vigneron', with a lot of work in the vineyard that results in wines with unique and unmistakable acidity and with aromas and tannins that are expressed to their fullest. His wines are 'personal' and authentic; sometimes they may seem 'rustic' at first taste, but then with time they express the great elegance and strength of the Terroir of Radda, which among the communes in the appellation is the one that offers wines that are taut and long-lived.
