"The quintessence of time," is how Alexandre Gabriel, Maison Ferrand's brilliant Master Distiller, defines this rare release.
It is a blend of the best reserves of Cognac Premier Cru Grande Champagne present in Chai Paradis, one of the Ferrand family's historic château, placed to age in a "zebra" barrel (i.e., composed of staves of different essences), which gives it subtle tannic notes and preserves its natural elegance. One cask and one, only one cask of Légendaire each year, bottled in a precious crystal decanter, hand-crafted by the Waltersperger glassworks, then enclosed in a fine wooden box that evokes the door of the château Mademoiselle, one of the family's other manors. The exclusivity of the spirit is also reflected in the exclusivity of being able to be one of the few lucky owners of a bottle, who will be invited to a visit dedicated to them at the Chai Paradis manor, where precisely the Légendaire was born.
A unique experience, a very rare bottle, destined to become over time even more legendary than the name it bears.
