Azienda Agricola Mazzi, owned by the family since the early 1900s, is located in the beautiful hills of Negrar, one of the five towns of the historic Valpolicella region. In the 1960s, Roberto Mazzi, after completing his agricultural studies, began bottling the first wines under the Azienda Agricola Sanperetto brand, distinguishing production by vineyard name.
The winery's vineyards are located in prime hillside positions, including Calcarole, Castel, Poiega, Sanperetto and Villa, many of which boast the best exposures in the valley. The vinification of the grapes, separated by individual “terroir,” offers an extraordinary overview of Valpolicella, allowing the subtle nuances to be perceived right from the bouquet of the wines, both in the three Valpolicellas and the two Amarones produced.
The location in the “historic” area, now defined as classic, further contributes to the quality of our wines. Today, the winery is run with passion by sons Stefano and Antonio, who respect the local traditions and allow the “terroir” to express itself at its best. Their wines, fine and elegant, are true ambassadors of the Valpolicella territory.
