The story of Leonardo Bussoletti is that of a man capable of turning his dream into reality: after spending the first years of his life as a wine seller, he decided to take the leap and go the other way! There are many examples of this path in Italy and around the world, but in Leonardo's case, his choice was a choice linked to Ciliegiolo and his chosen territory. With the help of his friend Federico Curtaz, he began his adventure as a winemaker in 2008 and after only ten years his wines are among the most representative of Umbria's terroir. The new winery in San Gemini, finished in October 2018, received the grapes from the vineyards that Bussoletti cultivates in the different areas located between Narni, San Gemini, Penna in Teverina and Alviano, in the province of Terni, where the Igt Narni is produced. With the arrival of Francesco Bordini as his 'sidekick', Leonardo has travelled even further down the organic road, interpreting Ciliegiolo in several ways, without neglecting Grechetto and Trebbiano, decisively confirming himself as a rising star of Umbrian viticulture.
