The term Recioto derives from the Veronese dialect "recia", which means "ear".

This name indicates the side bunches that crown the main bunch: the best part of the grapes, as tradition dictates.

A dessert wine that lights up the glass with vibrant nuances, it goes wonderfully well with dark chocolate, and marries every kind of baked dessert, from the typical Veronese pandoro to panettone, up to dry biscuits.

The dried grapes are then crushed and destemmed, fermentation takes place slowly in contact with lebucce for about 20 days. This is followed by ageing in tonneauxper24 months and in bottle for another 12 months. Colour: intense garnet red. Bouquet: elegant, spicy, with hints of black cherry, cherry under spirit, plum. Taste: sweet, the tannins are soft and velvety, balanced and elegant.
