Deville's Brut Blanc de Blancs is a champagne with character: the full expression of Chardonnay grapes. After maturing for 48 months on the lees, it expresses a rich bouquet reminiscent of exotic fruits and citrus fruits. On the palate it shows excellent freshness, agility and precision.

Jean Paul Deville's Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs is a pure Chardonnay with an intense, rich and elegant personality, a perfect expression of the famous Grand Cru of Verzy. Matured on the lees for 48 months, it is a Champagne with evolved and complex aromas, always well supported by the mineral freshness typical of the terroir. It is a fine label, suitable for tasting at the table with a fish menu, even of a certain importance.

Blanc de Blancs is a Champagne produced by the small family-run Maison of Jean Paul Deville, which is located in Verzy, about twenty kilometres from Reims. The estate stretches across a beautiful hilly area and, despite a predominance of Pinot Noir, also includes Chardonnay vines, which give grapes of particular richness and aromatic intensity. This Blanc de Blancs is made from the best Chardonnay grapes. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are softly pressed and the must is then fermented, with each individual parcel being subdivided. The vins clairs are refined for a few months and during the spring the various batches are tasted to choose the best ones, which will then become part of the final Champagne blend. A work of careful tasting and selection, to find the right harmony of taste every year. Only after the creation of the cuvée, the wine will begin the process of second fermentation in the bottle, with a stay on the lees for at least 48 months before dégorgement.

Deville's Blanc de Blancs Champagne will win you over with the elegance of its bouquet and the richness of its aromas, which express the broad aromatic palette of a mature and evolved Chardonnay. In the glass, it has a light, bright and brilliant gold colour. The perlage is very fine and subtle. The bouquet opens with floral notes, aromas of yellow fruit, citrus peel, pain brioche and delicately spicy nuances. On the palate it offers a sensation of great freshness, which extends towards a complex and rich centre of the mouth and a finish with savoury and mineral notes.

The Maison Jean Paul Deville is a family-run business that produces high-quality artisanal Champagne. Created in 1968, it is the fruit of the experience of several generations of vignerons who have cultivated these lands with love and passion. During the 19th century, the Deville family, who had already owned vineyards in Verzy for five generations, limited themselves to cultivating the countryside and selling the grapes to the great Maisons of Reims. In 1966, Jean-Paul Deville decided to create a blend with wines from his own grapes for a small family production. Two years later he bought a wine press for his cellar, so that he could press and make wine himself, and also in 1968 the first bottles bearing the Maison Jean Paul Deville label saw the light of day.

This was just the beginning of a great adventure in the world of Champagne. In 1986, a Rosé version was born, and ten years later a Blanc de Blancs of great character and structure, son of a terroir traditionally dedicated to Pinot Noir. His daughter, Marie-Alice, joined the team a few years ago. After obtaining her national diploma in oenology in Reims, she works alongside her father in the creation of the cuvées. The Cuvée Quinte Essences was born from her talent and creativity, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Maison. A Champagne inspired by the oldest traditions of the region, with an unusual blend, which alongside Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay also includes the old Champagne varieties such as Petit-Meuslier and Arbanne.

The domaine Jean Paul Deville is located in the commune of Virzy, one of the 17 villages in the region classified as Grand Cru, due to the exceptional quality of its vineyards, which every year yield grapes of absolute excellence. It is about twenty kilometres south of the city of Reims, in an area of Champagne famous for producing excellent Pinot Noir. The vineyards are still managed according to ancient farming practices, with manual work and maniacal care.  The management is based on low yields, so as to always favour quality, and the harvest is carried out with a rigorous and careful selection of only the best bunches. All the cuvées are made with only the free-run must from very soft pressing. The long ageing on the lees gives intense, rich and elegant Champagnes, a typical expression of the Grand Cru of Verzy.
