The Secret is named after the woods surrounding our vineyard at Ulmo. This young and fresh wine obtained mainly from Nero d'Avola grapes, the flag of wine Sicily, gains personality and style with the addition of international grapes. All the grapes are skillfully cultivated in the vineyards owned by Planeta. La Segreta is a versatile companion for everyday drinking, suitable for the most diverse occasions. It is a perfect approach to wine Sicily with its right relationship between quality and price, guaranteed by the patient work of the Planeta family, from the vineyard to the wine.

COMMONS OF VINEYARDS: Menfi, Noto.

VINEYARDS: Dispensa, Buonivini, Maroccoli, Gurra.

CELLAR: Dispensa.Breeding system: spurred cordon.

PLANTING DENSITY: 4,500 plants per hectare.VINIFICATION: destemming followed by 7-14 days of stay on the skins at a temperature of 25 ° C, after racking aging in steel.

ORGANOLEPTIC NOTES: intense and vivid ruby red colour. The nose smells of currant and mulberry with a delicate spicy and mentholated finish. In the mouth the wine shows its beautiful personality with flavors of ripe berries, balanced by a full and herbaceous taste in an absolutely pleasant way. The tannins are docile and well polished giving this red a very versatile character. PAIRING: for daily consumption it is ideal with Mediterranean first courses, light meat dishes, vegetables or even blue fish.
